The Mahallopolis guided tour is an experience for the curious, the bold, and the spirited. We will be departing the Old Town by tube to visit the oldest and most beautiful cemetery in town. It’s an open air museum, comparable to Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris or London's Highgate Cemetery. Enchanted by its eerie stories, we’ll take a turn through a lively park little-known to tourists but cherished by locals. Then we pop in the oldest train station in Romania, and check out the former KGB headquarters nearby. There will be time for a refreshment break at an old factory now turned into a cultural hub, a perfect spot also for quirky souvenirs. And lastly, we’ll show you a secret passage to an old Mahalla – the oriental term for ‘neighborhood’.
